Well, I feel new anyway :) My name is Erika and I found this site through Lifehacker. As soon as I looked around I really thought this might be what I needed. I've made a lot of positive changes so far this year, but I need to do more than just get healthy, the weight has to come off... I know this but it's been really tough!
So far I gave up caffeine in April, and in August I joined a health club which I go to at least twice a week and generally three times for an hour and a half each time; I've been doing weight training (they set up a program for me) and although I haven't lost any weight (yet) I have dropped a dress size which is nice :)
My goals are to start doing more cardio to burn off the calories, and to get my calorie consumption down. I'm really hopeful I can do it, I've done so much already this is just a couple more small things to add on, right? :) I'm just trying to decide which one to tackle first - anyone have a suggestion? Should I try getting more cardio first, or reducing my calories? (I have to tackle things one step at a time, and get into a good habit, before I tackle the next thing!)
