Welcome to spark people. This is a great site with lots of support. You can do this! Take baby steps and set small goals for yourself. For example instead of looking at how much weight you have to loose set smaller goals and focus on 10 or 5 pounds at a time. Good luck. You are worth it.

Hello everyone. I'm just getting up to speed here, but it certainly seems I'm at the right place.

About Me:
I'm 43

I live in Rocklin, California...near Sacramento in Northern Cal.

I am the Director of Agronomy for a company that sells products to golf courses. It's kind of a technical position that has sales associated as well. I travel a lot. I'm on the road between 1000-2000 miles per week!

I'm a writer and a musician as well and love computers (mac) and do audio production (pro tools) in a small studio in my home.

I've traveled the world for my work. Lately, tho, I stay in nor cal, mostly. Which is pretty sad for me, actually.

For now that's it. Mostly...I'm afraid. I'm 43, over 400 pounds and the list of medical problems is growing and growing. I've started and stopped weight loss so many times and I think this really is my last chance. I've given up hope that the Biggest Loser will "find me". I just have to do this. And mostly, I can't imagine what I have in front of me. I want to be excited..but mostly...I'm petrified.
