I'll second that it can be very time consuming.

If it is to be, it is up to me.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

I also find it hard to track my own recipes--it is so time consuming that I usually just estimate.

Hello Diva. Are you using Sparks Nutrition Tracker? It is so helpful. My biggest struggle is fats, so I would be lost if I didn't record what I eat daily. You can do it!!

Welcome aboard. Try making something really low cal that you love when you are making new dinners. Then fill most of your plate with the low cal healthy food and "taste" the new foods. I just made a chicken dish last week that was higher calorie than I normally eat and so made spagetti squash to go with it. I had most of my plate filled with the squash and some fresh sugar snap peas and just a couple spoons of the chicken dish. It works but only if you can say NO to seconds. Good luck.

I have a hard time with the portion controls too because its so hard.

The calorie count is tough especially if you improvise your recipes...

50 is the new 30.

This is my problem as well. The hard part is calculating the calorie count to portion size when a recipe has so many ingredients. (not to mention strange ingredients not found in the lists) Then sticking with a portion that matches what is required to lose weight.

I think maybe the key is to continue weighing a measuring as you take it to the plate.
