I have fallen off the Insanity bandwagon.
On Saturday, I did Friday’s workout (MIC) and I haven’t worked out since then.
I am currently on travel for working this week, living in a hotel for the next 2 weeks, which hasn’t been a problem before except I am with a group on this trip. We are working 12+ hour days (leaving work after 9pm) and going out to dinner every night…by the time I get home, I am stuffed and tired. I realize now that I need to workout in the morning before work so that I can get it out of the way. My diet has been horrible this week too (so hard to eat right when eating out)…but that is something I can fix.

So now that I am so behind and I am flying out for my cruise on 4/24, I need to modify the remainder of the Insanity work to get the most out of it.

Tomorrow morning, Max Cardio Conditioning.

I hope everyone is doing better than I am...
Don’t be like me…Keep Pushing Play!!!

Hey!
I am still here! Since my plan was never to do 6 workouts a week, I am not as far along as you. Awesome work, TRF!

I did Plyo yesterday and as usual it makes me feel so GOOD! :)

Stay strong y'all!

I am still on track...Just completed Day 3 of Month 2 - Max Cardio. It wasn't that bad compared to yesterday's Max Plyo...that almost killed me (TOO MANY PUSHUPS emoticon )

Welcome Tamika75!!! Are you starting today?
Keep us posted on your progress...

I just completed Day 1 of Month 2 (Max Circuit). This workout was INSANE...Everytime I thought it couldn't get any worst, it DID get much worse. I was yelling and cursing at Shaun T the entire time. I am covered in sweat but feeling great.
I feel like I am back to Day 1 of Month 1. I love that is a brand new workout with new moves but they weren't introduced well so it was hard remembering what I was supposed to do in the second and third interval. I wish he would focus on form more. I saw people doing the moves all different kinds of ways and since Shaun hardly worked out. I had trouble figuring out what the correct form was.

ok so i have falling of with doing insanity but i have been doing my ellipitcal 5 days a week for the last two weeks. So today i am starting over with insanity.

TAKE THE INITIATIVEl

Don't sit around waiting for enought energy to get going. Get yourself moving and you'll create the energy necessary to keep you in motion. Do yu just not feel like doing anything? That's the time when you can make the biggest positive differnece for yourself by going ahead and taking action anyway. In ways small and largem your world right now is filled with opportunities to make a difference. Take the initiative. The only thing you need to take the first step is

I hope everyone is still on track with their workout as well as their diet.

My diet was horrible this weekend (it wasn't that great this past week but it fell apart over the weekend) and I ended up only completing 5 out of the 6 CCB workouts. emoticon
I am starting to fall apart over here. I don't know how I am going to make it thru Max Interval tomorrow but I went to the grocery store and I am ready to get back on track in terms of my diet. Hopefully fixing my diet will positively affect my energy level and my workout effort.

Today, I completed Fit Test #3 today but I struggled thru the Fit Test and actually back-tracked on a few of the workouts:
Switch Kicks (2 kicks = 1 rep): 33/43/35
Power Jacks: 36/51/56
Power Knees: 70/94/103
Power Jumps: 28/30/34
Globe Jumps (4 jumps = 1 rep): 7/9/10
Suicide Jumps: 11/11/13
Push-up Jacks: 4/14/19
Low Plank Oblique (2 knees = 1 rep): 22/28/36

CC&B done...but I skipped it yesterday. I think it will be ok if I skip one CC&B...I think!!! emoticon

Will try to make it up on Sunday but I am also planning on doing the Fit Test on Sunday so we will see. I don't want to do both Max Interval and the Fit Test on Monday...it seems like too much.

I plan to do CC&B again tomorrow morning.

Have a great weekend!!!!!

I hope that you're doing better now. Its so amazing that you are doing Insanity combined with a running schedule. I had given up running for Insanity, and I plan to get back to it once Insanity is over. But after looking at you, I might just do the same. I think I'm going to miss Insanity once its over :)

Way to go TRF!! :)

Day 23- CPR: DONE.
For some reason, I have been feeling lethargic lately and I have hit a wall with my weight loss efforts. I'm guessing that I need to stay hydrated!
I missed cardio abs yesterday, so I'll do i with my cardio recovery (or maybe today evening, if I can take out the time)

Had a hectic weekend so I didn't do PCC but I doubled up my workout today and now I am all caught up. Did PCC this morning and CC&B this evening.
Day 1 of Revocery Week (CC&B) was alot tougher than I thought it would be but I was glad that I was able to make it thru most of the workouts and I have set a goal to make it thru the entire workout without taking any extra breaks by the end of the week...I think that is a very acheivable goal.

Hello there!
I am still hanging in there, but not able to do Insanity every day because of my running schedule. Am looking forward to my workout tonight though! I have a sore throat, hope it doesn't develop into something nasty, I just don't have the time to get sick right now.

How are you doing?

No, I just take one kick as a single count!
I was wondering how I am putting out such a good number even though I suck at switch kicks emoticon (I'm glad to get over with it in the beginning itself!)

Anyway, since I'm just competing with my past weeks' performance, the way I'm counting it shouldn't be an issue.
I did cardio recovery today and I was glad to have a breather. Just 2 workouts left and then I'll be done with week 3. I'm getting a little scared as I'm getting closer to the second month but I'm just as excited!

I'm glad you guys are doing great too. Keep on digging deeper!

Good job on the Fit Test, Lilangel! I have to ask, though... the switch kicks? Are you counting them as they say you should, so that two kicks is one count? Or are you counting each kick individually? Because I have to say - holy HECK you're good if you're tracking them the way they should be. WHOA!

In either case - GOOD JOB!

Did plyo today and I got through it okay despite heavy legs after a 10 K run earlier today. Burned a LOT of calories today, gotta love that! And the scale moved this morning, finally! Not much, just 0.5 lbs but I will take it, since I've been holding steady for almost three weeks.

@Lilangel - I totally agree that it's about staying consistent. I indulged in some cake today at a kiddie birthday party and I am not bothering with feeling guilty. I enjoyed the cake and I have burned the calories and then some. That's what matters.

I have my long run tomorrow (probably going to do about 11 miles) and then in the evening I will do the Fit Test. I had a few unplanned rest days earlier this week, so I am skipping the scheduled rest day tomorrow and just heading into week three.

Have a good weekend!

I binged today. Ordinarily, I would have just declared that I can't carry on with the workout plan now that I have broken the 'clean diet' pact, but I have realized that it is not about being perfect. Its about staying consistent. So, I'm not back on square one. I just had a minor setback and I'll carry on!
Anyway, week 2 is over and I'll post the results of my second fit test soon.

Keep on digging deeper people!

After a minor setback (fever and body aches) which caused me to miss yesterday's workout. I woke up ready to catch up today. I did Cardio Recovery this morning and just completed Day 19 CP&R this afternoon. The workouts were alot harder than usual (because I am not 100% better yet) so I had to take a few more breaks but I got thru them.

@MINNA72 - I am not concerned about losing weight during this round of Insanity (even though it would be a nice bonus). I am mostly trying to tone up and get into a fitness routine.

Did Day 12 last night. Really love the cardio power and resistance workout! I also ran 5 miles during lunch. Good day!

@TRF - In round one I never lost any weight while doing Insanity. I gained a lot of muscle, though, and lost a clothes' size. I don't know if the result would have been different if I would have followed the Insanity meal plan. Oh, the changes started coming in month two for me! So, hang in there!

Day 17 done....Feeling great.
I haven't lost any weight (I actually gained 1.5lbs) and I don't see any change when I look in the mirror but I keep on pushing thru and hopefully, the change will come.
I want to incorporate running (probably 1-3 miles 3x/week) starting during the Recovery Week. Hopefully that, along with the Month 2 Max workouts will give me the push I need to help me get ready for my cruise.

@ Geegee - wow, sounds like your family really has been under the weather. Bleh. Good for you for getting back to the program, though!

I have not been able to work out since my long run on Sunday. I must have gotten a smallish muscle tear in a hamstring, because every step has been weirdly painful and I didn't want to risk making it worse. So I rested for two days. Feel much better today and am looking forward to a workout tonight. YEAH! During lunch I will go for an easy 5 k jog and some stregth training at the gym.

How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone!!! I fell bad that I started the thread and then haven't done my part. :( My family of 5 went through 2 weeks of being sick (ear infections, respiratory infections, and stomach viruses) BUT we're all healed and starting over. I did day 1 yesterday and 2 today. It's hard but I'm doing much better than I did during the fit test. I was sick and just pushing myself too hard.
Y'all are doing GREAT! TRF, great job on only missing one day. I'm curious, do you see a change in your physical appearance? Are you losing weight/toning up? I'm so impatient that I want to see results NOW. ;)
Mina, sorry to hear you've been under the weather. I've never had a migraine but got serious sinus headaches all of the time before my sinus surgery. Not fun!
Now that I'm back on track, I promise to check in more often.
See you tomorrow! emoticon

My exams are going on, so I might skip a day or two, but I'm staying on track with my eating. I can't restrict calories because I tend to get VERY hungry when I study, but I'll keep it clean.
Will keep you guys updated!

Hey there!
So I have had a few really bad days with migraines and didn't do Insanity workouts for three whole days. That totally sucked, by the way. Better now, did Pure Cardio yesterday and a double workout consisting of Plyo and Recovery today. So, day 11 done. Still behind, but at least I am hanging in there!

How are you all doing?

I've seen some very basic models of HRM that don't show calorie burn, so it's possible that yours doesn't. I think it's definitely worth investing in one that has that function. I don't know how to translate a certain heart rate into calories burned - sorry.

Today's Insanity workout didn't happen. I suffer from migraines a few days a month and today is one of those days. I managed to medicate myself enough to get out for a run, but then I crashed again. Hopefully this will be but a bad memory tomorrow and I can get on with my life.

Wishing you all a good Wednesday!

An HRM is supposed to count your caloric burn. Maybe you need to tweek the settings. Is it actually working as a normal watch? Maybe the battery needs to be changed. Get it checked out before buying a new one.

I did Cardio Recovery today! A whooping 300 calories burnt! :)
I can't wait for pure cardio tomorrow!

@TRF, yesterday was supposed to be day 8 for me as well, but life got in the way. So tonight it is so ON! ;)

Do you wear a heart rate monitor? That way you know exactly how much you burn in a week and can let SP set the optimal calorie range for you. I burn about 5000 calories a week and SP has me eating 2000-2300 calories a day and I have STILL been voraciously hungry this week! LOL! Make sure that you are eating the right amount of fat. It's so easy to think that low-fat everything is better, but eating the right amount of it goes a long way to make you feel fulller and more satisfied. Also, I love my protein shake in the evenings (after my workout), it staves off the hunger pangs so I can go to sleep. :)

@ Lil.angel - I love those last pushups and squat hops as well. Just when you think you're done - whammo - one last thing to bring you to your knees! Gotta love that! LOL!

Completed Day 8 (CP&R) today...Still feeling great.
The one problem I am having is that I up-ed my calories to 1700 because of the calculations but I am always hungry. I can't stop eating. I must be eating 2000 calories right now. Any suggestions to help me curb my appetite??

Day 3- Cardio Power and Resistance

It was tough and I was sweating like a pig in the warmup itself!
For some reason though, I loved the hops and push ups at the end :))

Day 2: Plyo!

It was brutal!! But it was worth the effort because I know that the endorphins will trickle down to the rest of my day :)

CPR for tomorrow. I'll have to wake up at 4: 30 am to do it. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Hey!
How are you all doing?

I did Pure Cardio today. It is always a fun workout I think. Short enough that you can give it your all without dying, long enough to give you a proper whooping. LOL! I also like that is doesn't have intervals. For some reason those kill me just a bit extra. ;)

Now on to P90X Kenpo! My glutes are in a world of pain from yesterday's P90X Legs & Back workout, so this should be super fun... um, yeah. LOL!

Geegee - how awesome that you get to work out with a coach! Did you end up doing Insanity last night? What did you do?

The football coach at my school works a group of us out two days a week so I did that yesterday. It's intense but not quite "insane" . ;) I felt good about yesterday so I'm doing insanity today.
Minna,
Girl, you are a machine! You're doing great... keep it up!

Hey ladies!
So I did cardio power and resistance last night. I am no huge fan of the power jumps, but they felt good this time. And I love the v-pushups!

Oh, I also ran 4 miles at lunch time, so it was a good day, all around. Today I have P90X training on top of the Insanity. Looking forward to it! I want some arm and shoulder definition! :)

How are you doing?

Geegeeland... you don't suck! Banish the thought! So you're not as fit as those in the dvd... Who the heck IS? And yes, this is going to be hard, but that's why you wanted to do this, right? If you had wanted something easier you would have picked a different challenge for yourself.

Don't give up. I GUARANTEE that you'll see amazing progress if you stick with it. Modify the moves, but TRY to do a rep or two the way Shaun T shows them. In a few weeks you'll notice that you need to modify less often.

And we'll be here to cheer you on!

Hi girls!
Well, stick a fork in me, 'cause I am DONE! LOL!

I did the plyo workout, took a 20 minute break and then followed it up with a 60 minute killer P90X workout (shoulders and arms) and holy moly, my arms are TOAST.

102 fitness minutes, 973 calories burned - yeah, I am ready for bed! I'm in Sweden, so it's almost 1:30 am here... :)

Going to finish a blog post about my fit test in a few minutes, though. And THEN it's time for bed. ;)

Looking forward to reading what y'all think about the fit test. I LOVE it! Oh, something I learned during previous rounds... the warm up is rather short, I had better results when I did the warm up sequence twice. Just something to think about.

TRF... Day 1... doom's day! ;)
I'm going to follow the calendar and it has fit test only today. I watched the fit test and it's pretty intense. I'll post after the fit test. I think there's a forum for posting results... I thought about post my results (depending on if they're not too embarassing). Good luck today! Let me know how it goes.

Welcome Minna and Chansont!!!! Minna, I haven't done the fit test yet but did watch it and I can't see how you did that AND the other exercise in one day! Go ahead with your bad self!
Chansont, I'm with you....... I'm not used to jumping around either so I'm nervous but excited at the same time. :)
I was going to do the fit test Friday before we went out of town but noticed that the calendar had the test for Monday so we decided to wait until today. We're going to do it as soon as DH gets home. The worst part of all of this: having to weigh and measure myself in front of DH!!!!!!! Talk about embarassing. :( BUT it'll be worth it in the end.
Good luck girls! I'm glad I'll have y'all to celebrate and gripe with! ;) emoticon

I did the fit test today & was exhausted! Its my first time trying Insanity & I was absolutely NOT used to all the jumping around! I had to pause because I got dizzy but managed to get through. Looking forward to doing the Plyometric Cardio Circuit tomorrow!

@ TRF1011 - go ahead and do both the Fit Test and Plyo today. That's what I did on my first round and although it is exhausting, it can be done. I did the fit test on Satuday and will write a blog about it today.

Good luck!

Day 1 is finally here...I helped a friend move all day yesterday so I was too tired to do the Fit Test. Do you think I should do it today along with the Plyo Cardio Circuit?
Good luck on Day 1..Hope you can post something about the 1st workout today.

P.S. - I love cruises too...

I'm in!
This will be my third round of Insanity! I am doing P90X right now, but have missed Insanity a LOT so I have been doing a few workouts a week as the mood has hit me. :) I have been reading a few blogs of people doing Insanity and have felt an increasing urge to join the madness once more... LOL! Starting on Monday is perfect as I want Sundays to be my rest day (I run a lot and do long runs on Sunday, that is plenty draining enough, even without adding Insanity to the mix! LOL!)

Bring on the craziness! WOHOOOOO!

We LOVE cruises. Is this your first? I'll be sure to join the team on the BeachBody page too. I've been swamped and haven't have a chance to look at it yet. My DVD's came in today so we're doing to the do the fit test tonight and start the program on Monday. I'm sore from yesterday's workout so hopefully the test won't kick my rear! :)
Have a great weekend!!

I am going on a cruise at the end of April so I want to lose weight and look better in a swimsuit. I have also joined the Insanity support group on the BeachBody forum. There are a few people starting on Monday. It's free to sign up, you should join that too for more support.

Perfect! Mine's supposed to arrive in the mail Monday so we'll see! I haven't done this workout before either so we'll struggle through it together. ;) I am a teacher and my school's footballl coach is working with a few of us a couple of times a week. A few of the things he's done with us are the same types of workouts.
Are you trying to lose weight or just get in better physical shape? I am taking a group of students to Disney world in April and I am looking to shed as much as possible before then. I want to lose 45 total pounds by the start of school next year.
I guess we can use this forum to keep up with each other. Check in with me on Sunday and let me know how the fit test went.
