I just make sure to listen to my knees. I have a lot of trouble with twists and turns in step routines especially on carpet. I have to really watch the angle I do things at, and I've found that some step heights are more comfortable than others with some exercises.

Yes, me too.

I keep squats and lunges on the high end.

I can't wait to get back into stepping. I miss it so much and Cathe's look like fun!

I've got a terribly tweaky right knee. In fact I've gone and really buggered it up yesterday. Not doing Cathe's workouts though. I did a jump rope HiiT workout. Iced it all day yesterday.
Anyhow, I have noticed that the step workouts don't really bother my knee that much. The hi-lo workouts and the HiiT ones I have to be a little more careful of. I have found that jumping up and down isn't so bad. What really hurts after a while is lateral movements. Squats and lunges I have to be REALLY careful.

Ha, I just picked that word up from her Web site! I love it.

I've been doing Muscle Max twice a week for about 4 months and have recently been really digging her downloads.

I have:
two STS abs downloads
low impact step
chest, biceps, triceps
stretch

question for those of you with bad knees: do you do Cathe's tougher step workouts? squats? lunges? Just curious on how you handle the knee discomfort.

I use a knee strap, ice, and advil but am afraid to go to the tougher workouts.

Any insights would be great.
