Welcome! I have a friend who is doing Dopey in Jan. too! She and I are signed up for 2 halves, well she is signed up for 3, and we are both signed up for a full in October in Columbus! Make Dopey fun! Ride the roller coaster, have a margarita, lol You will be earning it!!!

The Dopey challenge sounds awesome and tough.
As far as eating goes .... I tend to know what I should do.... but choose junk all too often.

Keep us up to date on your training - should be informative.

Good Morning! I joined the team yesterday and have rebooted my SparkPeople account, so to speak... I have found myself using this website at intervals in my life when I needed an extra push, so here I am again! I am using the month of June to get back in the groove of things, health and fitness wise. I just finished a 3 year Master's program and have had little time for much more than running - which Thank God I kept up! I have started attending bootcamp classes 3 nights a week and will start Jeff Galloway's training for Walt Disney World's 2015 Dopey Challenge on July 1st. The races are in January 2015 - a 5K, 10K, half- and full-marathon. I am really excited to be training again! I run for a cause - - and am always excited to run for my brother, who can't. Figured joining this team can help keep me accountable. I don't really have a problem with running consistently, but EATING is my worst pitfall! During training for my first marathon (Jan. 13) I gained 10 pounds!! On a 4'10" frame, this is not good! Add in grad school and it never really came off permanently... So, oddly enough, for a marathon training program, my most important goal is going to be nutrition. Any suggestions are welcomed!
