Welcome, Jewels! Bet you'll love the run-walk-run once you get used to it!! And injury prevention is a big part of it, too.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes, I hope to learn a lot from all of your blogs and experiences. It sure is hard when you are starting with a new training partner, I am trying to learn to trust her and not worry so much! Ahhhhhhhhhhh I should blog about it, maybe you all will have advice!

Welcome! I love run/walk. I love the mental strength of knowing I am choosing to walk vs letting my worn out body force me to walk! It definitely has improved my times too!

Hi all, I just joined your team yesterday after a friend suggested it. I have been running for about 14 months, started with the C25k and have now completed 2 half marathons. The idea of walking seemed crazy to me, but I have a new training partner and she is all about it, new to her as well. We ran 10 miles Sunday 4 min run 30 sec walk and it felt amazing!! I had previously tried 1 mile run 1 minute walk with her and it felt awkward, plus is was an intolerable temperature outside and I ended up dehydrated, clearly not hydrated enough before hand. She is doing 13 saturday morning and I am going to try to do it all with her. My next half is June 28th, The biggest loser run/walk series in Charleston, WV. My goal is to have run 15 before and hopefully PR for the race. One more half in Sept and then Nationwide Full in Columbus in October. Pretty sure I have lost my mind, oh well, lol Glad to be here and look forward to learning from you all.
