Going out for a short run and a long walk. Down another 4.5 inches this week for a total of 13 inches off in 5 weeks with walking, emoticon emoticon running and hiking as primary fitness. Holding at 12 pounds lost. Thank you all for the inspiration!

emoticon to the team! Sorry to hear about your stress fracture. Great job on your races!

Sounds like the walk/jog is working great. I would keep that up until those get to easy for you.

Hi everyone. I started last Sept. To try to work up to running the Diva 5 K last week. Along the way I developed a stress fracture in my second metatarsal, so my plans changed. I started intervals of walking and jogging. I call it woggling. I finished an 8 K walking 4 minutes jogging 1. I did, Indeed do the Diva but I ran 30 sec./walked 45 sec. I actually got my fastest time doing that. It was a fun way to complete the distance when I couldn't jog the whole thing. I've signed up for the Virginia 4 miler in sept. I'm going to try 30sec/30sec for awhile and see how that works. All advice appreciated.

Teri - Eastern time zone
