If you're not having fun, then why run?

You don't get to choose how you're going to die, or when. You can only decide how you're going to live. Now.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts we make the world.

Hi -- I joined Penguin Runners yesterday and then found my way here. So happy to have found you! I've been using the Galloway method for over 10 years. Run/walk has been the only way for me to train over time without getting sick. I've finished several half marathons and 2 marathons. My last race was NYC marathon back in 2010. Got a bit burned out by the marathon training and have been running on and off since. Last September I started training for the Disney Princess Half Marathon on Feb. 23rd. All went well until the holidays when I got a nasty bronchitis. It really knocked me out, and I'll be three weeks behind in training by the time I get back on the road. My last long run was 13 miles, so I've at least covered the race distance. But I was trying to improve my time, so I'm not sure where to get back into training. I've been thinking I'd run easy until I felt strong, then pick up where I left off. Any advice would be more than welcome! Anyway, so very glad to be here.

Any day above ground is a good day.
