emoticon to SP. This is a great team. I have not been able to get online much. Working overnights and having only one computer makes it a little difficult. SP has a great support system and you will love it.

Welcome to our group Carrie!

SP is amazing and following their advice has helped many people. Portion control takes some will power. Long time ago, when co-workers had a healthy TV dinner for lunch I used to say "that is not enough to fill the cavities in my teeth." Now I am eating them myself with either a small salad or a piece of fruit and it is more than enough. Fast eaters have a problem with portion control also, so slow down.

My suggestion is to cook less, use a smaller plate to help you with portion control and whatever is left over either freeze in a small container to eat when you don't have time to cook or take it to work with you for your lunch. Maybe you can learn to like leftovers. SP has articles on portion control, read them and print them out.

I am having a tough time eating the right portions when it comes to my favorite foods. I weigh most of my foods on a digital scale instead of using measuring cups whenever possible. When I don't do that, I'll mess up for sure.

This has been a long struggle, where I did real well the first couple of years and then slowly ended up gaining most of the weight back.

Hi everyone, Just a quick note - I'm VERY new here, and I'm very eager to finish my peek around this amazing site! It's everything I've hoped for - like a prayer answered!

I'm from store 3638 here in Ottawa. I have been with the company for about 7 years, and I am currently the Department manager of Automotive.

I'm 32 year old mom, with 50ish pounds to loose, and I've stuggled with my weight for the last 17 years. I know my biggest struggle is with portion control, which also goes hand in hand with self control. I'm a "clean your plate and finish this last piece off as I hate leftovers" kind of eater.

Well, thank you all for what I can see is a supportive group, and I look forward to chatting more soon - I've got to go check out the rest of this amazing site!
