Don't worry about this. Pretty much all dieters go threw this. It's called much patience is needed. The walks... given time will help you in the long run. Please don't give up,!!

Stress and this "older" age seems to have a BIG impact on the whole hormonal / weight-gain issue. Yeah...drop weight. What's that?

Doesn't seem to matter if I use I.F. or what I choose food-wise... the outcome is the same. Some kind of "set-point" at the highest weight I've ever been in my life.

Up until I had kids, in my 30's, weight issues were an "unknown" struggle in my life. And now, I truly don't know what to do. -- I'm using acupuncture for stress & the hormonal roller coaster. Throw in a chiropractor & massage therapy and I'm doing better in many ways. BUT the weight just stays.

Walking every day seems to help w/ sleep issues. So will keep doing that as well.

Thanks PJ! My hope now is to lose the weight and be able to wear the same clothes on a Tuesday as I do on a Friday :-)

I joined the team a while ago, but am just today finding time to spend exploring SparkPeople and all it offers. Obviously, I love the trackers available. Adding in my water intake, and meals for the day has quickly become a helpful little ritual that keeps me on track, nevermind the satisfaction of seeing that I hit my goals for the day, or came in under allowed calories!

I picked this group, because we women of a certain age face steeper challenges when it comes to losing weight. It is so HARD to lose a pound! I remember being young, and skipping eating for a day and shedding 5 pounds. My days of skipping meals are well behind me - I get cranky when I don't eat :-)

So! Looking forward to getting to know you all, and learning about what brought you to SparkPeople!
