I am aiming for clean eating. Eliminating processed foods from my diet. I try to get 2 out of 3 meals a day "clean". Some days I manage all 3 but I don't sweat it if I don't. After one month, I'm feeling so much better. If I eat out, I notice it the next day. Bloated and blah. I can taste salt added to foods and extra sweetness. Because of that, I'm making really different choices in restaurants now too. At home, smaller portions and lots of water.

Anything is possible--except skiing through a revolving door.

The road to success is dotted with many tempting parking places.

Your body keeps an accurate journal regardless of what you write down...

Thanks for everyone's help. I have tried two days of eating 4 small meals, rather than 3. It seems to have solved the problem.

There is quite a mix of ideologies and viewpts that you will find on this site. Many are mainstream / traditional. Others of us feel that hasn't or isn't currently working for many people.

INSANITY: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Your Dr. says you are in excellent health, how does that line up with your blood work? At 100#'s overweight, what does your Dr. base his/her statement on? -- Only you know yourself / body. Clearly you feel something is not as it should be.

There are several sites you can check out to see if any of it resonates with you. You will have to decide what will have to change for you to see a drop in weight...

Welcome, The best diet is one you can stick with for the long term, rather than one where you eliminate so many foods or food groups that you start craving them

I would suggest clicking on Getting Started. It's a link under "Today on Sparkpeople."

Then, get into the habit of tracking your foods, even if you haven't started a program yet. Measure or weigh your foods so you know what a portion size is.

If you make a mistake, or give into a craving, don't let that destroy your motivation. Just start again.

I have learned that the best way is to forget all the "diets", focus on eating healthy and controlling your portions. I find that I have to measure portions because I am eating more than I should. Eat fruits and vegetables, limit fatty foods and just try to eat healthy.

I am new to sparkpeople. I have tried low carb diets, low calorie diets, intermittent fasting etc., And nothing seems to work. My doctor says that I am I'm excellent health. But, I am about a hundred pounds overweight. I am 60 years old and work out 3 days a week at the gym. Any diet ideas are welcome.
