Sparks is a wonderful place with so many tools available to you. You also have the support of your fellow team members. The best way is baby steps, small goals easier to reach and makes you feel good. Set a goal say to lose 5 pounds and give yourself say 3 weeks. That is doable. Also you do not get discouraged this way. My initial go was 2 pounds a month and I did not get discouraged and quit. I also felt good when I met this goal. These small goals added up to me reaching a comfortable weight and improved my health in doing so

Keep on track

Hi Cricket, welcome to the team. It is overwhelming at first but if you break it down into baby steps it is so much more manageable . First you need too figure out what changes you want to make. I worked on snacking and portions. Exercise is important, try finding something youlike, also find away to make it part of your day to day life. I walk to and from work,it makes me exercise. You can make the changes, focus on healthy andnitweight.

Hi, My name is Cricket. I'm 55, a divorced mom in a long term relationship. Currently I'm at about 210 - the same as I weight 26 years ago when I got pregnant with my first child. My highest weight has been 245 but thankfully that didn't last long. For most of my adult life I've been about the same 210 lb weight. I want to get healthier. I have some medical problems - Type 2 diabetes, neuropathy in my feet etc. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and trying to figure out where to start. I've always hated exercise (hard to believe anyone actually likes it!) I need motivation and guidance. If anyone has any advice I'd appreciate it.
