Hi Catiwiky and welcome! Franniedid had some really good pointers. Remember this is a lifestyle change and you are incorporating good healthy habits. Stay positive and focused and don't beat yourself up or get discouraged if you have a setback, keep plugging along. This is a great positive group.

yeah, this getting older thing is something else! I have started exercising and I do eat out of boredom...Thanks for the encouragement Frannie!

Hi Catiwiky, welcome to the team! One thing you can do for the always hungry feeling is 1st try to figure out why you are eating. Are you really hungry, or are you eating from boredom, or other emotions. I find that stress eating is a real problem for me and if I am just sitting watching TV I eat out of boredom. Exercise is key, not only cardio but strength training with it. As we age we lose muscle, building that muscle back up really helps with your metabolism. Take baby steps, make small changes so and take a good look at what you are eating and doing. This is a journey, not a sprint and it requires permanent lifestyle changes.

Never really had to diet before so this is very hard for me. Gaining weight instead of losing. Any pointers? Always hungry.
