Hi, Im back. Ive recently retired and have gained back 45 of the 88 lbs I had lost. I am really struggling right now. I'm back to stay, so tired of feeling to bad about the way I look and feel.

I used to be there, but the most destructive thing I found for my health, weight loss, etc. was the "HATE MYSELF" part - I learned to start accepting myself, to love myself and most of all to forgive myself more and it made everything a LOT easier for me. I am still not perfect and have a long way to go but I feel better and like ME more.

Thanks for all the replies! I've always been one to go it alone, but this time around I think I need support.

Welcome!!! I have found that tracking my food and exercise keeps me on the beam. When I start telling myself I don't have time...that means I am TOO busy and I need to make time.
I've also learned that this is a process and that it's not as easy for me to lose now that I'm over 50. I've had great success by taking it one day and one pound at a time. Stick around!!! :)

Hi, I am 52 years old and originally joined SP in 2009. Didn't keep it up though, and got back to SP seriously in December. When I was younger I was always fit and pretty thin. With the passing of time I have gained weight and gotten so out of shape I find it hard to even do the simple daily activities. My goal is to lose 40 pounds and get back in shape. But I do get unmotivated easily, and need encouragement along the way.
