I am new here myself! I have lost 50 lbs in the past, and recently gained 20 back after the recent death of my Mom 6 months ago. I am back at it with a vengeance and am determined to get those pounds off!! I have lost 3 pounds this week, but do not expect that type of weight to come off each week. Its harder at 50 than it was even 5 years ago! Goal is not just to loose weight, but get get healthy and look fabulous doing so! I am looking for support and have been having a hard time finding teams who are "active"! looking forward to being a part of this one, Menopause was surgical 20 years ago due to cancer, so not a current issue hindering me. now that I have jumped the depression hurdle after my Mom's passing, I'm ready to MOVE!!

After having lost over 50kg a few years back was doing well until Osteoarthritis started to get worse and menopause hit, what a combo. So getting back on track and looking to Sparkpeople for the help like they gave me last time. emoticon so just stopped by to say Hello.

Hi I am 52 years old and am getting myself healthier. I started out at 198 pounds to date I have lost 48 pounds and have 20 more to go. I am proud of my achievements, my dedication to exercising over 60 minutes a day and find I have more energy daily. I decided to do this for myself, I have a husband who is very supportive and two young men (my sons) too. My sister's are my greatest supporters love them dearly. That's me Hi all
