Hi Gwenhaven, welcome to the team! It sounds like you have some good plans for getting exercise. Once in menopause exercise really plays a key role in keep your weight under control. Even if you can't do a lot at once, 10 minute increments is just as good as one longer session, in fact I read an article recently that indicated it might even be better!

Hi everyone!
I am 51 and have been in full menopause since February of this year. I set a goal in March to lose from 147 to 130 by July for my daughter's wedding in Maui, and made it to 131. I gained back 2lbs when I got home, so I'm setting a new goal of 128lbs. When I lost the initial weight, it came of SO slowly, only 1lb a week, but it came off!

I'm very limited in what I can do physically now, which wasn't such an issue before this last month or so. I can do some of the exercises I learned in physical therapy with a yoga ball, so there is that, and I can also ride a bicycle, so I have an option for aerobic activity!
I can't run, though I was really hoping I could start, and can't walk further than a mile or so at this juncture. Can't swim because of some shoulder issues, can't do my yoga for the same reason. So I'm hoping that I can at the very least get motivation!
Also, would be nice to talk to people in the same boat as me, in full menopause and dealing with the hair falling out, the constipation (yeah, ick) and well, whatever! Hoping I can still lose weight! ha! I notice it's distributed differently, just in the last 8 months!
Anyway, I'm glad to be here!
