New to this group 50+Females. I kinda got lost with my goals and let myself go some. With spring coming up I will just go ahead and start again. I may get it right one of these days and make it a lifestyle change. Not this yo yo dieting.

Life seems to catch up with all of us at 50. I'm still fighting with myself to prioritize and not try to do it all. Seems our health and well-being is what get sacrificed. Time to change all that!

Welcome to the team. I went through a very similar experience. My mom came to live with me 2 1/2 years ago when she was diagnosed with small cell lung cancer. I had lost over 50 lbs, exercised daily and was eating healthy. Mom passed this past July and I have gained almost all of it back and had stopped exercising entirely. Lots of stress eating and cooking to give my mom the most calories possible to keep her weight up. It has been very difficult to get back on track - we have had an awful winter, I will recommit with you! I have been working on eating and exercising this last month!

Welcome to the team! Sorry about your mom; that's incredibly stressful. I lost my mom to leukemia 5 years ago and I remember how hard it was.

Hi everyone. I just jumped to the big 5-0 in October during a very rough period in my life. At that time I was walking 6-8 miles a day and doing well with my weight loss (almost 30 lbs since July). I went down to almost no "extra" exercise and very little sleep until my Mom lost her battle with cancer in December. January hasn't been better. So I'm recommitting this month. Nice to join this team.

Time to make your dreams come true!
