That is true -- it does take more time that it did when we were younger. Grrrr...

I'm trying to stay on top of this. I need/want to lose 25 more pounds and don't want to gain any of it back!

Thanks for the encouragement. Day one is over and so far so good. One day at a time, I suppose.

I'm 51, also stressed, mother of cats (LOTS of cats...), personally deal with depression...and just lost 25 pounds. (Well, just under). It's not easy but it IS possible!!!

Sadly, I also have no brain left... I hear that's the first to go. But I can't remember...

The KEY thing for me is to keep track of what I eat and my exercise every day. I log everything into the Food Tracker every day and keep track of portions. (Just because _I_ think an entire bag of cheddar cheese popcorn is ONE serving doesn't make it so. Darn it.)

I also try and do at least 10 minutes of exercise every day. Most days this turns into more than 10 minutes.

I absolutely HAD to lose weight. I was down to 2 pairs of pants that fit (barely) and I refused to buy any more. (Plus, I couldn't afford to -- financially or emotionally.)

I go over my calories (a little) most days and a lot(on some days) but I've been reminding myself that 1 'goof' doesn't mean "Game over, man!" -- I just gotta start over with the next meal.

All of this does take time but I (now) make it a priority. Dinner can wait until after I watch my SparkCoach program and finish my tracking for the day. Everyone at my house knows I HAVE to do this first so I can "see how much I can eat for dinner"... :-)

Also, I've been using SparkCoach for about 2 months now and I find it DOES keep me on track.

Good luck! I know you can do it!

~Heather

Hi everyone! I wanted to take some time to introduce myself. I'm Tracy, a single mother of two young men and going to be 52 years old. I know it's not realistic to think I will ever have my old body back (mid-30's), but someone, please give me hope it's possible to get some resemblance of it back!

I don't know this body in which I live. It has never acted like this before and my brain has never functioned this poorly. I won't go in to the stress that I battle daily (child support law suit, financial burdens, and a 16 yo that suffers from depression) because I know I am not alone in that arena. I guess what I'm looking for is some place to come for support and reassurance that it's possible to loose this weight.

I want to be healthy, both physically and emotionally, but I have to get my weight under control for that to happen and it's so discouraging. I just need to know there are others out there that have done it at my age and it is possible. Are you out there???
