One can ALWAYS and MUST make time for themselves or they will eventually break under the pressure. It's why there are so many people in the mental health system in North America today. I'm on of those patients but have learned when I am feeling stressed and what to do about it. Maybe I'll go over the courses already posted here or at least let you know where they are for reference. Give me some time. ;)

Welcome to the team! It sounds like a lot of stress. I found with caretaking that I took down time when I could outside with walks and having a coffee or tea at a local coffee shop. Listening to an audiobook or podcast helps me quiet my mind when I'm tired but my mind is racing. I wish you the best for you and your family.

1. Suffering is a part of life
2. Suffering is caused by our attachments and avoidances.
3. Suffering can be ended.
4. Freedom from suffering is possible by following the Eightfold path.

LadyMoma, look through the resources of this Team on stress relief if you have not already. There are plenty of ideas and I'm sure many people on the team will be willing to tell you what has worked for them so that you can get an idea as to make a plan for yourself that works just for you. :)

Well, today was a GREAT day! 70 glorious degrees outside, beautiful weather, took my daughter to the park and we played on the playground, then looked at some Easter stuff and she is OUT like a light for her afternoon nap. I'm getting my SP fix then I'm gonna curl up with my bible for a bit. I find that just as relaxing as anything else. Thank you so much for the warm and wonderful welcome!

emoticon LADYMOMA417,

I am glad you joined us. I visited your spark page - your daughter is adorable!! I am sure she keeps you hopping. You are one busy woman - please make sure to set some time for you, even if you have to schedule it in.

I know what it is like to look after parents. I moved home to take care of my dad with lung cancer for 2 years until he died. I forgot all about me and it is taking forever to get back to where I once was. I also stayed here to help my mom now that she is alone.

The more you keep sharing the more support you will get. You can give me a hollar anytime emoticon

Look forward to getting to know you.

Hi. I am new to SP and I am STRESSED!!!! Stress is my biggest downfall. I eat emotionally, I stress way too easy, I am a single mom of a 2 yr old daughter, I'm a full time student and I live with my parents who are not in the best of health.

I need to find balance and sanity in my life. I can't wait to start meeting people and making some changes for myself.
