find something that puts you at peace. for some it is music, some nature ( for me it is the ocean) meditating, dancing, crafts, sewing, gardening, etc. once you find something that gives you a break from all the stress, you can use that as you retreat and go to your place each time the stress wants to take over. best of luck to you emoticon

Welcome to the team. I also crochet and do a wide variety of crafts. You have a very curious nickname though. Do you really consider yourself evil? I look at people's nicknames and wonder why they chose them and if they have what I consider a negative connotation to them, I often wonder why people would lable themselves as a negative person.

Welcome Evilgoddess:

I found stroking a pet has helped me lower stress. Unfortunately for my cats, now they are bald. emoticon

4 Noble Truths

1. Suffering is a part of life
2. Suffering is caused by our attachments and avoidances.
3. Suffering can be ended.
4. Freedom from suffering is possible by following the Eightfold path.

Bigotry disguised as morality is still bigotry just as an outhouse with
marble columns is still an outhouse.

Hi! I'm new to the team, but not SP. I lapsed on SP for over a year. Now I'm back with 20 more pound additional pounds. I'm a horrible emotional eater among other things. As you can guess, I find myself under a lot of stress. My worst side-effect of the stress (besides the eating) is my teeth clenching. I can control it while I'm awake, but at night.....that's totally different. I sleep with a mouth guard, but it doesn't seem to be helping since I usually take it out in my sleep. I'm hoping to find some stress-busting techniques to help me loosen up, especially in my sleep. Right now to help with the stress, I crochet, make jewelry, other crafts and I regress into my childhood and color.
