You will be able to control those urges. Go through the forums and do the exercises there. They are to help train you to do other things and think of other things when you get those cravings.

I have done this also a million times, especially I start over every Monday or everytime after a trip.. But I am glad that I realize to start over, rather than giving up.. So you are on the right track.. Way to go !

Another thing to consider is having snacks--healthy snacks--right at your desk so you're not resorting to chips and candy bars. Easy things to have stored at your desk are nuts (especially almonds), raisins, whole grain crackers and other foods along those lines.

I am a stress eater too! I so feel your pain that sweets seem to really help.

What works for me is breathing really slow, counting to five, and pulling in my stomach too when I remember.

You are not alone. Just post when you need your team, we will be there! emoticon

i start a new job a few months ago. it was then that i realized that i'm a stress eater. omg... i had to stop at a store and get ice cream, donuts, chips, it was a very eye opening moment but i couldn't control it, (or maybe i didn't want too...i needed relief). now three months later, after training, my job will begin this week. i am nervous, but i can't stand how i feel and look, i want to get back in control and feel more confident. i need to learn how to control my stress.
