Have you tried looking in the humour section of this team, or maybe finding things to add to it? Sometimes humour can take the edge off of things and get us through the next moment(s).

I am feeling a little less stressed though a release of hormones may be part of that, but I am trying to let things roll off my back.

Don't stress and God bless!

Scottie31, the fact you realize you need another "out" is progress. Every Sunday when I pray before church, I ask God for help & guidance during the week. I need his support so that I treat the body He gave me better. Try to come up with your own 10 dieting commandments: thou shall not stop at a fast food restaurant, thou shall drink eight glasses of water a day. Post them on your fridge, your desk at work...wherever you can be reminded frequently. They'll start to be a part of who you are.

Oddly enough, you have to work at self-esteem. Look through the team forums, take part in the daily challenge, take part in the Journaling program and use the Stress Jars etc. I honestly don't think you can leave this group without being changed for the better IF you are willing to put your all into the group. :) Look around the forums and threads and try a few out.

sometimes He seems too far away. i think if you practioe some of the activities listed in this challenge, it might help you find him and you can lean on us until you do. i go to a quiet park or my porch and just be quiet. when i shut off all the world noise, i find Him. best of luck to you

I am returning to SP after a 2 month absence. My major stress is dealing with a really low (think nonexistant) self-esteem--I look bad, I feel bad, I can't control my spending, I can't control my fast food or soda addictions, etc. I am a christian and I know I can turn to god with this but am finding that very hard to do.

Don't stress and God bless!
