Its good that you're starting with small steps - don't want to shock your body with new things right away, taking it slow will allow your body to adapt more more easily. Do the same with exercise, start slow and it will become more of a habit you enjoy rather than a dreaded chore. Good luck!

After I went to a yearly check up I was told I had gained 20lbs in a year going from 180 to 200. Mind you I am 5 foot 2. My goal is to be 140 (what I was when I started my freshman year of high school) in a year. I feel that is realistic enough and I believe I can do it. I gave up soda 2 weeks ago and I've only been drinking water or tea with lemon. Now to start exercising...
