Hi I'm new to this team, as well as to SparkPeople. I have had PCOS for 2 years. When I was diagnosed I was so happy I wasn't crazy. I had been experiencing symptoms for several years. Esp. after a very serious/traumatic car accident that I had 7 years ago.

I was used to being no more than 115lbs, active, healthy, in shape, and full of energy. Then 5 years later I was 200lbs, no energy, lethargic, and not in shape at all.

My husband and I have been married for 2 years, and do not plan to try to conceive for a few more years. I am 27.

My goal is to feel better about myself, have more energy, and just be all around healthy. I am hoping to manage this with metformin, diet, and exercise.

However, being new to the site, I'm not really sure how to tailor my "nutrition" section to this disorder, or where to even start. It's quite overwhelming. Does anyone have any tips?
