I'm new to SparkPeople and am soo excited to find this team!! Finally, people I can chat with about my pcos and hopefully, with your help, I can reduce/eliminate it through my eating habits and exercise. I didn't even really know you could do that!!! I discovered I had it when I was 18 and now am 33, and have been on birth control pills ever since to regulate my period. Hirstuism was/is a problem, although my acne has finally cleared. My goal is to cut sugar out of my diet (from reading your postings), live an active and healthy lifestyle, and lose 10-15 pounds. The sugar part will be the hardest, as I've always been active. (Not as much of a challenge, although fitting it in is).
If there's anyone out there with tips on how to help a pcos'er needing to lose that last 10-15 pounds or on HOW TO STOP EATING SUGAR (ha ha), I'd love to hear from you!!
