Hi Bonnie. Good luck on this time. Hope everything goes well for you. I am just starting all of this myself. I started SP a couple of months ago, but nothing was working. I then found out I had PCOS and am having a hard time losing the weight. I am starting the zone diet. It seems like a good one.

Hi, I'm Bonnie. I had a Sparkpeople account a couple of years ago, but wasn't really ready (for various reasons) to commit to it. I made a lot of healthy changes in my life without Sparkpeople, but have come back around to a place where I need some extra boosting and support. So I started a new account and started a page and am joining groups (the whole nine yards). I'm hoping that really engaging this time will help bolster my commitment to be more in the moment in my everyday (healthy) life.

I have been struggling with my PCOS symptoms and IR for the last 9 years and am currently heavier than I've ever been after taking myself off BCPs a couple of years ago. None have worked for me, they just make everything worse when I go off them. So I am dealing with it with acupuncture, my own healthy living and metformin for the IR.

Its a constant challenge, but I'm really really committed to doing this the way that I feel is best for me, which includes not relying on chemical sweeteners and heavily processed diet foods. My body seems to respond to whole and natural foods, and I'm still working out the best way to balance my budget with the need to by fresh, healthful foods instead of convenience foods.

Thats basically me. I'm starting from scratch and I thought it would be a good idea to join a team right away and be involved!
