Welcome to a great team. I don't drink coffee so don't worry about #1. I do know where the remote is but just turn tv on for noise. Forgot #3 but I do check my calendar every evening to see what is planned for the next day--exercise class, TOPS meetings, and other appointments. I also quilt a lot and sometimes baby sit great grands now--once in a while only. As mama used to tell me, stay busy and you have fun.

Trust God, believe in yourself, and keep looking forward. You can't change the past. You are always special.

Hi. I'm recently retired and getting pretty bored so I thought I should join a team for something to do. I checked out a lot of the teams but they are all pretty quiet except this one seems to have a little activity.

So far, everybody else that I've talked to seems to think that retirement is basically a death sentence. They wake up with the 3 "where's". Where's my coffee, Where's my breakfast and Where's the remote? Not really my cup of tea. I have twin, male Border Collies who pretty much keep me busy 8 or 9 hours a day. I don't watch TV, I read a lot and I fool around with computer games. The weather has been so rainy here this winter (although thankfully not a lot of snow), so it's kept me indoors a lot more than I want to be.

The doctors told me in November that I have Diabetes so I joined SP, lost 30 pounds following the Diabetic Diet Plan and now everyone says that I shouldn't lose any more weight. First time in my life that that's happened. Not only that but my blood values seem to be right on and I feel and look better than I have in 30 or 40 years. Well I think I look better anyways.

So that's my story in a nutshell so you just find me lurking around here for a while
