Welcome- Erica
Welcome to this team, I have a dairy issue but not because of lactose. I avoid heavily sulfur-ed foods. Milk is one of them. I avoid gluten and have since 5-2008. I avoid many other things and can avoid prescriptions for pain inflammation and other drugs by not showing symptoms and a need for them. My yo-yoing weight gain has stopped. I sleep better today than I did before meeting a naturopathic specialist and the non-MD ways to cope.

You are the happiness master of your own mind.
Thought is an active dynamic energy to harmonize and corrolate good.
Clear all paths to love thru forgiveness.
I may not recognize the significance until some time later.
Is my resistance to change really that strong?

Hi Erica

Welcome to the team :)

I guess all I can really say is just do it. After a while of not ingesting your allergens, that first time you have one again will be a real shock. At least, for me, when I slip I wonder how I ever enjoyed those foods in the first place. Most of the time me eating those things is just laziness, anyway.

I'm mildly lactose intolerant too, and have a mild wheat allergy and an assortment of other allergies. It's frustrating because unless you're just going to eat meat and veggies, chances are, food has gluten and / or dairy in it, right?

You can do it, honey. You'll feel so much better :)

hi, my name is Erica. I have been avoiding dairy for 7 years after realizing my daily stomach aches were caused by lactose. I also am allergic to gluten and it makes me look puffy or a little swollen but I don't really worry about it as much as i should. I would like to become more motivated to substitute gluten during my weight loss effort this year and make life changes to keep myself eating healthy. Thanks for reading what I have to say and if you have any information you think is relevant, I'll definitely read the replies.
