When my mother found out I was buying the seasons on DVD, she asked 'do you really watch them?' and I said 'heck yes!' Not only can you watch the episodes in order, one after another, but if you've seen them all once or twice and know the backstory, you can watch any episode at any time and enjoy it as a stand alone. Sure, some episodes are better, but each has a meaning to those of us who are big fans.

I remember when season 3 started and I knew Eric only wanted to do 5 seasons. I though "it's not halfway over yet." Then season 4 started and I thought "there are 2 seasons left, enjoy them!" Season 5 started and I thought "I'd better enjoy this last season! It's almost over!" The at the end of season 5 they said there would be a season 6. As much as I celebrated it, I knew without Eric it wouldn't be the same. Now season 8 is about to start and I'm nervous about where it will go, but with the likely continuation of the show, not wondering if it's the last episode, actually takes a little away from my enjoyment. I'm not taking as much effort with every episode because there aren't many left.

Thats good. I wonder if his wife will make a repeat appearance later on. After all many things are possible on the show.

The possibilities always outnumber the problems.

Jared confirmed that he was contracted for 9 and 10, the CW could still cancel any time, but considering they seem to do quite well with SPN I doubt they will unless something drastically changes.

It seems to be one of those shows you can watch again and again. It has humor and seriousness. An interesting blend of suspence and comic relief. Looking forward to next season.
