Just saw the email for this thread, so missed your comments until now.

I am doing much better this winter than last. I worked on a show at our local community theaters from Oct thru the 9th of January. The show ran for three weekends and I went about 4 times and then went out with the cast and crew afterward, so keeping myself more social. Had the cast party at my house on this past Saturday,and we had a good time. We are actually talking about everyone coming over on this Sat. Maybe another party. Told them my house is still pretty clean, but they would have to bring food and drink as I am too poor. LOL

For the cast party, the theater provides food and soft drinks. Will see if there are any takers.

Went to the doctor this morning, have a bit of a sinus infection, but not very sick, just mostly annoying. Took my drugs and will be better soon.

All in all, I am doing fine. Enjoying life.

My weight is just holding, but I am on the site and threads every day. I know it is good for me to be here, even if I am not losing weight.

Very cold here, below zero, but I am making myself get out of the house every day unless the weather is really terrible.

Last winter, with the terrible weather, and two brand new knee replacements, I stayed home way too much and became very depressed. Gained back weight I had lost, and am still having trouble with it.

Must not allow the depression to take over this winter.

Well, emoticon Bumpee, and emoticon to SparkPeople Land!

You've picked the right place and the right challenge to start with! It won't be before long, when you won't even consider what you do here in SP Land stepping out of your comfort zone!

I suggest that the very first thing you do is to track all of your food and exercise. When I started tracking my food, I found out that I was shoving more than 4,000 calories a day down, my throat! Thus the 388.0 lbs. I use to weigh! Now, be mindful of what you track, as each and every bite, including the ones your grand kids give you, just before they take their bite. Likewise with your exercising that you'll be doing, keep track of it. If you're able I recommend the SPARK Tracker, as then everything is synced right with the web site, in whatever you're doing, when you work out.

Don't forget about all the GREAT recipes, and I know the ones that I've tried have been GREAT and I'm always trying new ones. Then there's the library of blogs and articles, which are so educational and they do stimulate the brain, in a good way. And, last but not least, all the ladies and gents who are here and are ready to help you, out with your healthy lifestyle change. That being said, if there is anything I can do for you, just HOLLER and I'll do the best that I can to give you a HAND UP!!!!!
