I started on SparkPeople in 2014 - my Mom suggested it! But I fell off my streak. It's 2016, there's a new app, and I'm back tracking tracking tracking, and integrating exercise classes into my work week. I have 2 kids, ages 8 & 2 and feel driven to set a good example for them and to take back my health, wellness, and physique. I weigh more now than I did fully pregnant with #2, which is 20lbs heavier than fully pregnant with #1. Ay yay yay - I have some work to do!

Our diet has always been pretty good - living in California with our delicious bounty, weekly CSA of fresh organic produce. Tracking helps me understand when I overeat - and what that extra glass of wine really means.

For me the integration of exercise has been the most challenging component, Give me a class that I am obligated to, or a challenge and I will pony up - but independently I find 10,000 other things to do than prioritize my health and wellness.

So - I'm fired up having signed up for exercise classes during my work day which is really so awesome and gets over the hurdle of no time between kid drop off, commute work, commute, kid dinner/homework bedtime. Looking to keep the momentum and challenges during the weekends and on days when I don't have an exercise class.

So - let's support and challenge each other to make the most of our beautiful state and become all that we are empowered to be!
