Marissa, Welcome! You might want to start with small changes so you don't feel so over whelmed. And then when you feel comfortable with doing that one or two different things then try adding another one or two. Maybe by slowly starting to eat healthier foods little by little. Trying to work up to at least trying to get to where 80 % of what you eat is good fresh whole foods like salads, veggies, fruits, fish, chicken, nuts, etc. And you can try to work up to where only 20 % of what you eat is fast foods, processed foods, greasy and or fried foods, red meat.

For exercise just try to walk a little and each day try to see if you can add just one more step. Or if you don't have a pedometer just walk to the house next to yours and back, or how ever far you think you could get to and make it back with out any problems. Then the next time just try to go one more house then what you did the time before that, or how ever further you think you could go and still get back.
Another good site to check out for walking is:

All my best to you always. Janette

Here's a good challenge that might get you motivated! I found that if I didn't eat my calories I got stuck too! The "Official 'Eat Up, Slim Down' Challenge"!

Hi I am 25, my weight has been going up and down since I was teenager. I was diagnosed at 4 with polyaryicular juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and when I was 13 I was put on prednisone and that's when I started putting on weight. I had a baby 10 months ago and was at my highest 289, I am currently down to 265 and I am stuck. I can't bring myself to get up and go in the morning. And eating healthy has always been a challenge for me. I don't know where to begin with motivating myself, sorry for this rant! Anyways I am Marissa and I am in need of a change. Not only for myself but my son as well.
