Hi there :) With so much to overcome, it can seem like a daunting task. That's what I love the most about SP - setting up the little goals, so that you can gain that sense of accomplishment and know that you are working toward good health, even if it's not as fast as you might like. You might try some gentle yoga - there are some great positions for back pain relief, and your 3-year old would have fun stretching with Mommy :)

Hello all! I joined a little bit ago, but never had the opportunity to introduce myself. I have about 10 pounds to loose, but am dealing with a few obstacles I'm hoping to get some help getting around. I was in a pretty bad car accident almost a year ago, where I injured my lower back, my neck, right shoulder and wrist. Also, my right ankle has been sprained several times, and it is sometimes hard to walk. Before all this happened, I was going to the gym 3-5 times a day, doing HIIT and weights, watching every calorie I consumed, and was generally feeling good about myself. After the accident, I was told that swimming was about all I could do, though my neck and shoulder injuries prevented even that. Since then, I've been battling about 10-15 pounds, and depression.
On top of all that, I go to school full time, and my husband is stationed about 6 hours away, so I'm also a full time+ mommy to a 3 year old. Needless to say, I have very little time for working out, or cooking healthy meals at home.
I know once I start loosing weight and working out again, I'll feel better and be in less pain, it is just difficult to get started and to know when the pain is good, and I should keep going, and when it is bad, and I'm causing more damage than good. Anyway, thanks for reading!
