Lione, first of all, congrats on the new babies and your new title of Grandma. I can speak from the experience I have with my own 90 year old grandma, and can safely say you will soon be their favorite, well, you and Grampy. My grandparents are the apples of my eye at 90 and almost 100 respectively and I'm sure you will have many wonderful moments with those two new babies.

Secondly, in order to get those happy moments started you need to get yourself into a less frustrated state of mind and from what I've seen so far Spark seems to be a great place to start that journey. I'm new myself and still exploring the site but your frustrations resonate with me because of my own experiences in the last few months. Make a long story short, I'm having trouble keeping weight loss going and it seems I've lost gained and relost the same 10 pounds in the last 2 months since I decided that I NEEDED to lose the 30 pounds I have put on in the last 4 years after my life took a rather unexpected turn.

Anyway, stay the course and if you need a friend feel free to e-mail or message me.

Sorry you're experiencing such a frustrating situation. And yeah, I think it could be hormone changes - my weight started going up once I got into the peri-menopause stage and really got out of control once I hit full menopause so I hate to mention it but that could be behind this frustrating situation. I can definitely empathize, though - I have a super-super-super slow metabolism from a couple of things I know about and maybe others I haven't figured out. Be sure to get yourself checked out medically and get your thyroid checked, too - there are a lot of things that can bring things to a slow-down or stop. In the meantime, hang in there and take baby steps in changing to a healthier lifestyle!!

A new grandmother @ 46 to two beautiful grandbaby girls. Just had unsucessful Essure procedure about 7 months ago and 11 lbs later I'm very frustrated. I thinking my hormone levels may have changed because of the procdure and may be the cause of my weight gain. For the past month, I've improved my eating habits and worked in workouts 3+ times a week but not seeing results. Just the opposite! My body is just not cooperating. So here I am! :)
