Welcome. I'm on synthetic thyroid myself and have always had a sedentary job, now even a double shift doing such, so it is a challenge. Perhaps create new ways to keep active, making walking trips to and from delivering messages at work (not sure what you do for a living). In the winter, unless you love the cold, it is more of a challenge to get exercise. The Wii and WATP videos work great, as well as treadmill or gyms. Gyms do not work for me unless they have a specific class that I am following. Anyhoo, good luck to you, join some groups here and do lots of tracking of your food and activities.

Hello,
My husband and I are currently living and working in "the Bakken" oilfields area. Our family is mainly in Minnesota :(
I joined the site/group after having my thyroid removed and for the first time in my life...am worried about putting on weight. My job also does not help since it's low activity levels. I'm also away from my family for extended amounts of time which does NOT help!
Suggestions and tips are most welcome!!

Thanks,
Terri
