Hi everybody. Having graduated college a year and a half ago, I have been thrust into adulthood and the responsibilities that come with it. Being in school, I always thought that after I did graduate, I would have more time to dedicate to fitness (since there wouldn't be homework and studying, etc.) However, it is evident now that working full-time consumes more time and energy than I had expected. This has caused my eating habits to spiral out of control and my exercise habits to become almost non-existant. I knew I needed to change something or at least put a stop to the cycle.

Then I "re"found SparkPeople. I had actually stumbled upon it in the past. I did not engage in it at that time, because what I found worked for me best was just simple calorie-counting to manage my weight. Things are different now as eating less and seeing a number on a scale don't mean as much to me out of context. I love the sense of community here with all of the support and motivation. I love SparkPeople's holistic approach to fitness and overall health.

I watched the news clip of SparkPeople's found describe how he built and has maintained this site with basically money out of his own pocket. Meanwhile, he continues to provide this wonderful community and service to anybody for free. I find that inspiring in and of itself.

Anyway, I look forward to many conversations!
