Yeah working at home has definite pro's and con's. I am getting tired from all the hours and really hope that loosing the weight will help me keep up better. I am so very glad to be back home in ND where I can safely go for a walk. I have missed my long walks. I have worked in the oil and gas industry for 10.5 years now. I like it but it is very exhausting!

emoticon WildCountry ... emoticon to Spark People and the Spark North Dakota team. It's nice to meet you! I live in Ward County too ... in Minot.

I'm guessing the company you work for has something to do with the oil business. I seem to have heard some mention of them on the news lately. I imagine working at home has it's pros and cons ... you don't have to bundle up and bust through snow drifts to get to work, but you have all kinds of distractions at home while you are trying to work. In addition to caring for your son there's always something that needs to be done around the house that will draw your attention away from your work whether you get up and take care of it or not.

emoticon in reaching your goals here at Spark People. If you have any questions about how to get around the site, where to find things, or how things work don't hesitate to ask.

May you always have

Oh, I can imagine your problems. I raised my youngest daughter while I was an at-home medical transcriptionist. It can be quite a challenge. Can I ask you how you got into your job or any advise to my daughter as to how to get into it? She has experience with payroll, etc. If you'd rather send this to me in a private email, that's fine. Or if you'd rather not share, I understand that too.

Thanks for the welcome. An "AP Clerk" is accounts payable clerk. The business that I work for is from Colorado and doesn't have an office here in ND. I make tickets and do the invoices via remote access for the crews that work in ND. It is really challenging when my five year old is bored. He wants to use the computer too. I normally start my day at 5:30AM so I can have quite time to get my work done, before the boys wake up for the day.

Hi and welcome to the ND team of sparks. Sounds like you have lots of good things on your plate of life. What is an AP clerk? I have not heard of that. My daughter is looking for something she could do at home for extra income.

Hey everyone! I am a busy mom of two very active boys. I am AP clerk that works from my home almost everyday. I also keep my preschooler home with me. In the past I have had a really hard time finding time for anything else. I am hoping to change that enough to take care of myself. I have started an alternative health care plan that is working awesome for me. I know have the energy to try something new.
Looking for friends to help motivate me and keep me accountable.
