Hi Jan ... emoticon I'm so late in putting out the emoticon . I'm so far behind I'll have to die to catch up. I'm dedicating a little time today to clearing out the 800 some odd messages in my inbox and in doing so found the notification about your post.

I love onions but know what you mean about finding an ingredient you don't like in a recipe. If I find mushrooms listed as an ingredient I run the other way. If I find peas in a recipe I substitute chopped green pepper ... they are both green so the finished dish looks the same. If you don't like onions just leave them out, whether or not you substitute something for them.

Have you thought about putting together your own exercise group? I have a friend who got some of the ladies in her church together to walk to Leslie Sansone DVDs in the basement / fellowship room at their church. Another gal I know exercises in her basement with two other ladies from her neighborhood. They do various DVDs.

emoticon in finding something that works for you. That's the key ... finding something that fits well so you continue to do it.

Jan, since exercising in a social situation is not available where you live, what kinds of exercise are you hoping to start doing?

I am excited to have some success. I need motivation, especially to exercise. I enjoy excerising in a social situation such as an aerobics class, but it is not available where I live. Once I turned 50, I seemed to gain weight quickly. I am looking forward to trying some of the recipes suggested. One of the issues that prevents me from trying some foods is the recipes often contain onions, and I get terribly ill from them. Looking forward to connecting!!
