Welcome back Karen!

How blessed you are that you "woke up" before your health really starts to suffer. Make THIS time the last time... no more trying to sabotage yourself and your efforts at living a full healthy life!

I have another 100 pounds to lose. I always thought I wanted to have surgery, seeing that as a quick fix. But after seeing a friend go thru it, watching her struggle with issue after issue, I am like you - determined NOT to go down that road.

You have the tools at your fingertips. Now get going! :)

Hello, my name is Karen. I am coming back to sparkpeople after dropping out over a year ago. I am ready to focus on ME for a change. I have lost weight using sparkpeople, but I am bad to self-sabotage and self-destruct. I will be starting councelling to help me overcome the negative cycle I find myself in. I can always use help from people who are or have been in a similar situation. My long-term goal is to lose 150 pounds. I want to do this the natural "weigh" *pun intended*. I want to avoid bariatric surgery. My labs came back great: total cholesterol and blood sugar are well within normal ranges. My BP is on the high side of normal. Thank you for reading this and thank you in advance for your encouragement.
