Read as much as you can on Spark! I am a Sr. Sparker and want to tell you I had been "dieting" for more than 60 years and IF I lost weight, I just gained it back when I ate anything. WW never worked for me or for my daughter. When I started Spark 5 years ago I was trying to lose weight on 600 - 700 calories per day, then SP convinced me a woman should not eat less than 1200 calories.
When I upped my calories to that, I started losing and lost 50 lbs. in just over a year.
It is always a challenge for me to keep the weight off and due to some health problems, I have gained a little and am working to get that off again.
Join some teams, make friends, and be as active on the site as possible. You may want to check in to Indygirl's team as she is a great motivator and example.

Hi, My name is Jennifer and this is my first time with Spark. Last year I lost 40 pounds with super strict dieting that I just can't keep up. In June I started weight watchers but that doesn't seem to be working too well so now I am trying Spark. I am 35 and I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old and I work full time as a Practice Administrator at a medical office. I am excited to begin this new journey!
