Great attitude, never give up. We all have days of falling off, but it's getting up & back on the wagon is what makes the difference in how we strive on this journey.

Thanks everyone! Yesterday was a rough day and work and resulted in a bad day to start a change... today is a new day though and I am ready to try again.. So here's to today! :)

Keep on SP, read, investigate all the teams & lifestyle philosophies til you find one that fits you.

Only choose things you can do every day for the rest or your life. No exhausting workouts, no weird diets.

For me "everyday for the rest of your life", common sense, normal, = two things I found via SP that work for me.

For food: The No S Det.
For exercise: The Step Diet + SP's ST vids.

Welcome to your new journey. SparkPeople is a wonderful place to put you on the right path to a healthier life-style. Like Carol wrote, this is not a "diet" per se, but a guide to making healthier choices. Follow the Fast Steps. Ask for support. Don't try to do everything at once. This is a journey and many journies take time, have bumps in the road, and sometimes make you struggle, but those you meet along the way and the view will all make it worthwhile.

Yes, you CAN do it! I have been "dieting" for almost 65 years and was never successful until I found Spark People 5 years ago. Tracking food, getting exercise, weighing and measuring all foods led to a 50 lb. loss in 14 months. You are worth it so take the time to do it. SP can set you up on a healthy plan - be sure to get at least 5 fruits and vegetables daily.

Remember when your sons were first learning to walk? They would take baby steps, one at a time & pretty soon, they were toddling all over the place & now running. Well it's the same with your healthy journey, start with simple changes to your day, perhaps you will start out by replacing all sugary drinks with water, making sure you are consuming at least 8 cups of water daily. Then add another change like tracking your foods or adding in exercise. It's all about making baby steps turn into strides for the long journey.

My name is Jeannette and I feel like I have been on the losing side of the. Weight loss battle since I. was 10. I have two children and my husband and I would like to have more but I need to get my health in order first. My boys would love for their mommy to be able to run after them and not. Be out of breath in my first 30 seconds.
