I am like you with the exception of running 5 miles a day. Never been that energetic lol. I have been up and down with my weight and need a support system to help me lose about 50 pounds. My family is supportive, but they think if I make up my mind to do something I can do it. Like you, I have closets and drawers full of various sizes of clothes that I would love to be wearing again. Good luck to you and I hope we can pull this off together. emoticon

You have come to the right site both for losing and maintaining! Tracking both food and exercise is a big key for me. I am sure you can be successful too.
(I know, as I have been a "dieter" for 65 years and now call myself a "healthy eater".)

Kudos for taking the first step to wanting to get healthy. Every simple, healthy change like drinking a minimum of 8 cups of water daily, eating more fresh fruits & veggies & exercising, etc make it easier as you develop your plan to healthy living. Don't forget to use the trackers --they have become my best buddies, helping keep me accountable. You can do this one step at a time.

I ran 5 miles a day and didn't eat very much for years and years then I got married and noticed some changes. Slowed down on exercise - ate more! I l lost and gained 45 pounds like 4 times over the years always gaining more back! I was depressed for several years and due to that plus meds I gained a quick 35 pounds within a few months and then I just gave up hope and kept on gaining! I am 55 and it's time to take responsibility and become a healthier person - not for looks but for good health from here on out! Plus my hubby needs to lose and we think we will have better luck helping each other as a support system! Plus I have two closets full of nice clothes just waiting for me!!
