LGREATHOU, Welcome! When you get a chance, you might want to set up your own SparkPage - it's a good way to connect with others - they can "friend" you, leave encouraging comments, or send you a Spark Goodie now and then.

There's a wealth of information, inspiration and resources on the orange tabbed toolbar above. For inspiration, try reading Success Stories under the Community tab and there's a Motivation section under the Healthy Lifestyles tab. The Nutrition and Fitness trackers are great. But don't overwhelm yourself by trying too much, too fast. Little small changes that become lifelong healthy habits are the best in the long run.

You may want to check out some other teams, too. I'm also a member of Emotional Eaters and Dealing with Depression. Dealing with Depression is a particularly active team. I get so much support and encouragement there. Of course, you may not suffer from depression or anxiety, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

This is the first program that has ever worked for me in about 65 years of "dieting" and I lost 50 lbs. in just over one year and have kept it off for more than three years. Tracking food and exercise is a big help as is interaction with teammates!

I can definitely feel your pain.... I have been stuck at a plateau forever. I finally put my scales away so I don't see them and allow them to make me feel badly... LOL
Anyway, I started eating a whole new way, it's not a diet, it's healthy living, good choices and not processed or prepacked food, no fast food, no anything that has salt added, no manufactured canned goods, I buy meats and canned goods (now that it's fall) at the farmers market along with local fresh seasonal veggies. It was a huge relief when I started eating this way, but I knew I would be able to stick with it. I feel better, and I know my body is getting the most from the food I eat.
I think that even though I don't loose weight quickly, I know I am eating correctly and that makes sticking with it so much easier. Good luck with whatever you choose to do, but remember if if it's a diet, you're going to go off it, if it is a life style change you're going to stick with it (with a treat every now and then)... you're body will thank you.

My name is Lynette and I have been struggling with weight loss for years. I get on a really good diet and exercise program and then I get off of it because I get discouraged and I don't have much support. I hope this tool really helps me in my weight loss goals.
