Hi and welcome! I took a look at your Spark Page and we have a couple of things in common - I love books, too. Also, I'm trying to lose my excess weight by going slow, making small changes, using the Nutrition Tracker to be aware of what and how much I eat, trying to eat more healthfully, and getting in some exercise.

I only just started the exercise component. I joined a 10-minute a day Spark Streak Challenge in which I committed to exercise at least 10 minutes for at least 5 days a week. I'm in Week 3 now and we're adding in other types of exercise. I've been pretty sedentary for a long time, so ten minutes for me is good. It's doable, not overwhelming, and it's incorporating a daily exercise habit that I hope to continue for life.

You've made a great start on your weight loss - congratulations on all you've lost so far -
that's great! emoticon You also sound determined and that's a very good thing.

I have successfully gone from 348 pounds, down to 331. It seems like I have so far to go. But I am in this to win it. My breaking point was when the doctor started ordering all these labs to find something wrong because my BMI was so high. I passes with flying colors, hemoglobin a1c normal, lipids, cholesterol etc all good. The blood pressure was marginal but the loss of the first few pounds brought it back within normal. I have decided I want my life back, and want to maintain my health. I want to be able to go up and down stairs without a problem. I want to walk/run.
