Hi and welcome back! I haven't tried Spark Coach yet, but I've heard great things about it. I've been on Spark a long time, but usually just used the Nutrition tracker to track my calories. I've discovered that being more involved in the Spark community helps me. There's something about receiving encouragement from others and then giving it back in return that has really motivated me this time. I'm not where I want to be (yet) but I am making progress.

Wishing you all the best!

Hey, Bert! I live next door in Monroe! Welcome back to Spark and welcome to North Carolina! We do have really narrow roads around here, don't we? It's just that they don't have much of a shoulder and the drainage is usually a ditch running alongside the road! It's funny, I didn't think there were that many trees round here and I miss hills and mountains! (You have to go west in North Carolina to get those.) The cooler weather is great, especially this morning with the lower humidity and cool temperature.

Hi, I'm Roberta or Bert. I moved from Midland, Texas in August, but was only there for 3 years. Before that I lived in Las Vegas, NV for 24 years. I am back, focused on Sparkpeople. I've been on and off for 5 years, origianlly I lost 29 lbs. Today, I was wondering/remembering why I didn't continue on that journey and kind of yo yo'd since. I remembered (for the first time) what was going on in my life starting 5 years ago and I better understand why I didn't continue to loose, and gained some back. But, I'm ok with the yo-yoing, because it has kept me from gaining it all back, and every burst of momentum, even if short lived, means I was eating well and exercising some of the time.

With the new town/state and school starting, I have already jumped in, and I am ready to try, try again. I know HOW to SPARK. It is continueing to SPARK, especially when life gets hard, that I need to work on. I am trying out the SparkCoach to see if that will help. I am LOVING the cooler weather, and walked for an hour today. I am even getting used to the narrow roads and ALL the trees. I lived in Oregon before Las Vegas, but I have been a desert rat for 27 years.
