Hello! I've been on SP for over a year now, and it's worked well for me, tho' I still yo-yo'd over the Christmas period.

I did Slimmer's World some years ago, and find it the best plan; the thing is, now my spouse needs to lose weight, but I'll never get him to track on SP, and I have to say I get tired of having to change all the US values and items, so I thought I'd devise some menus from my old SW books. I think some things have changed, so hope you may be able to help with Syn values etc., if I cry for assistance! Look foward to meeting members here

Thanks for the welcome and the advice Jules - I'm going to try and do as you have suggested - taking things a day at a time rather than getting fed up and overwhelmed by the task ahead. Hopefully this will be our year!!!

Hi Eili emoticon
I think its best not to look at the entire mountain just concentrate on 1lb at a time. That is what I am trying to do, this time it is working. I too have lost the same weight over and over but am now concentrating trying to lose 1lb per week, I've stopped being hard on myself if I don't make it, but at the same time I'm trying to stop the excuses and be more accountable to me.
Great to have you here emoticon

Hi everyone - I'm Eili. Just rejoined Slimming World - I have lost and regained the same stone with interest over the last couple of years and want to really get a grip now. Sometimes it feels like an insurmountable mountain to climb as I have a few stone to lose but I really want to get back on track and feel (and look!)like me again. I think finding this team is just what I need and will hopefully help keep me motivated x
