I fell face first off my plateau when I took up running. I love it. Now, I have to worry about getting injured, which would ruin my chances to run that Triathalon! I am looking forward to seeing you on the trail!

Hello Spark People!
After a fun-filled girls weekend of great food and many drinks, I returned home from the cottage last summer 5lbs heavier and quite disgusted with myself. Ironically, in between one of our many meals and beverage breaks, one of my friends told me how she had been able to achieve some weight loss using the Daily Plate. I signed up when I got home. I've been a member of Livestrong.com for a while now, since August '09, and after some initial success, my weight hasn't really moved much since December. My goal is to get to a BMI of 22, which will see my weight around 132lbs (I'm 5'5"). I'm already weighing less than I have since I was 15 years old, and am very proud of this achievement after years, no, decades, of struggling with my weight in spite of my very active lifestyle. It all comes down to the simple equation of balancing what goes in with what you expend. Once I accepted this formula, rather than trying this diet or that plan, the weight came off pretty quickly at first. Now I've been a bit stuck, gaining and re-losing the same few pounds several times now. I'm hoping to find a bit more motivation here on Spark, and looking forward to achieving some new activity goals this year as well.... I would like to run a half-marathon in the fall.
Cheers to all!
s.

Great changes yet to come in 2016!
Updated my ticker to a new maintenance goal weight of 142, and will flip back to the maintenance ticker when I get there.
