I just got back from hot yoga! I did a double session as the first class was a super intense cardio and the second class was deep tissue stretching

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.

kittehs. I choose my choice. Some choose children - I choose meaningful cute sessions with my cat. :)

Yes! Of course you should go to the gym! Just got back myself. Sweatier and in a much better mood then when I left.

Six pounds. That is it.

we are fulfilling a stereotype..I too have cats (one is petite and the other I affectionately refer to as fatty...though really, he is just big-boned.)

I'm stoked for this group! More later...running out to the gym ( after debating if I *should* since it not a scheduled day. of course I should go. why not?!)

Indeed! I have vowed to do big-old-heart-rate pumping cardio for at least 300 minutes each week.

I did one hour on the elliptical today and it was certainly a challenge.

Am also fasting today. I don't usually do it but I have been behaving like somebody who has stretched out her stomach's capacity and want to shrink it back.

Oh, New Year. 2010 we will be fitter than ever!

(The cat is a slightly chubby Siamese - she has made a profound recovery from kidney failure that shrank her down to 6 pounds last spring - nearly doubled again and I couldn't be more pleased with her little belly)

Six pounds. That is it.

Ya, I really need to work on my motivation now that the new year is started, I have put some plans in place that should help with activity and eating healthy! I too am childless with a spouse and a cat - the cat is morbidly overweight!

We can do this!

Hmmm. I'm a new childless wonder. This seems like a pretty muted team.

Well --- I will start --- I have a little weight to left to lose, I live in LA with my spouse and a cat, childless by choice (not that I judge those with children - kids are adorable), and I am quickly losing my motivation.

Go team! Let's inspire each other.

Six pounds. That is it.

Alright - lets get it going then! I am disappointed to hear that there is another team not so 'teamy' but I am up to attempting to activate it!

So I had joined a different 30 something team, but no one was active on it so I figured I should try a new team. So... Hi!

Hi GBURKE! I'm new to the team as well. I'm a little disappointed that the team leaders haven't welcomed you yet. I enjoy active teams, but thought I'd join a few even if they don't have recent posts and maybe get them chatting again. I'd be glad to help motivate you! I am an experienced Sparker (even though I've started a new profile recently) and had lost 60 lbs since 2004 though I'm working on re-losing 20 of those lbs.
