Have your daughter check with the local rescue services (not the public ones but private) there are many in different areas. I have driven a leg for some of them with a rescue that is going to another area of the country. they may be willing to help her get her little babe moved across to your area. I do not know if they work with individuals but it is worth a try. They can move a rescue across the country for a good home. They may want a donation to help with their expenses as there will be food etc for her babe. When I drive a rescue, I usually do about a 75 to 100 mile drive for them. My time and expense is volunteered.

Keep on track

We will be in Idaho for the summer so will not even be able to help with a "stopover" but, I'll bet someone out there could help!

Oh, what a horrible situation for your daughter.
It's too bad the people she was planning on riding with didn't tell her sooner that she couldn't bring her dog.

I have heard of rescue groups taking dogs to other states to be adopted.
Maybe there is a group that would agree to transport her dog to Oklahoma for her, maybe for a small monetary donation.
Hopefully others will be able to provide some ideas.

I wish I had an answer for you. Please keep us posted.

Hi there everyone!

I need help for my adult daughter in California. She is moving back to Oklahoma in May, and just found today that the folks she is riding with will not allow her to bring her dog in the car, because they do not like dogs. They will not even consider putting her in a dog carrier in the back. My DD is heartbroken. She cannot afford to make the move by herself, and even if she could afford to make the move by herself, she has a bad ankle and can't drive all that. She has no friends who would be willing to take a "trip" to help her make the drive. I cannot go get her or even meet her half way because my other DD & DH are disabled and cannot be left alone. I do not have anyone on my end who would our could stay with my DD & DH while I was gone. DD in California does not want to fly, as she needs to keep her car which is paid off. Does ANYONE have ANY suggestions? Please help!!!! From one pet lover to another.
